Ice cream is often kept colder than ordinary frozen food, for example at minus 25 C (minus 13 F). This starting point uses thicker 6 in. panels and a strip curtain to help hold that cold.

- The preliminary load in this tool is calculated at the standard freezer setpoint, 0 F (minus 18 C), not at minus 25 C. For a deep-freeze room, ask for a review before you rely on the capacity.
- Deep-freeze rooms usually need a defrost plan and floor protection. Ask your supplier what they recommend for the site.
