When a case or walk-in stops holding temperature, every hour counts. We repair commercial refrigeration across the GTA, with 24/7 emergency support.
24/7 support when equipment stops holding temperature.
We find the real cause before replacing parts.
Multidecks, counters, glass doors, islands and cold rooms.
Repair when it makes sense, replacement when it does not.
Trust Cooling repairs the commercial refrigeration that food businesses rely on: multidecks, serve-over counters, glass-door coolers and freezers, island freezers, bakery and ice cream cases, and walk-in coolers and freezers. Our technicians are the same team that designs and installs equipment for supermarkets, restaurants, butchers and bakeries across the Greater Toronto Area, so they know how these systems are put together and how they fail.
Refrigeration does not keep office hours. Our regular hours are for planning and routine work, but emergency support is available 24/7. If a freezer is warming up on a long weekend or a walk-in stops cooling at night, call +1 647-719-3171.
Many refrigeration failures give a warning before they become an emergency. Call us if you notice any of these:
Catching these early usually means a smaller repair, less stock thrown away and a lower bill.
Most of the calls we see come down to a handful of causes. Dirty condenser coils are the most common: dust, grease and flour stop the system from rejecting heat, so the compressor works harder and the case warms up. Evaporator fan motors wear out and stop moving cold air. Defrost problems let ice build up until it blocks airflow. Blocked drain lines cause leaks and ice. Worn door gaskets let warm air in all day. Less often it is a refrigerant leak, a failed controller or sensor, an electrical fault or a compressor problem.
A technician will diagnose the actual cause before replacing parts. That matters, because a compressor replaced to fix what was really a dirty coil will fail again.
If equipment stops cooling, a few simple steps can protect your stock until help arrives:
Remember that Ontario requires potentially hazardous food to be held at 4°C or colder. If product has been above that temperature for a long time, check with your local public health unit about whether it is safe to keep.
When you call, we will ask what equipment is affected, the make and model if you have it, the current temperature and what you have noticed. That helps us bring the right tools and likely parts. On site, the technician diagnoses the fault, explains what is wrong and what the options are, and gets your equipment running again. If a part has to be ordered, we will tell you how long that will take and whether a temporary fix can keep you running in the meantime.
Sometimes equipment has reached the point where repair no longer makes sense, because parts are hard to find, the refrigerant is being phased out, or energy costs are much higher than a new unit would be. When that is the case, we will say so honestly and explain the replacement options. Financing through our partner EconoLease can help if a replacement was not in the budget.
Most emergency calls could have been avoided with regular maintenance. Once your equipment is running again, ask us about planned preventive maintenance, which keeps coils clean, drains clear and small faults from turning into emergencies.
We repair commercial refrigeration throughout the Greater Toronto Area from our base at 105 Brisbane Rd in North York, including Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Brampton and Markham.
